Dr. Burton was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. As a northern girl, she enjoys the outdoors and can be often seen in the neighbourhood riding her bicycle around town or walking her beloved dog Stanley. Dr. Burton moved to Toronto to start her university education at Trinity College, University of Toronto.
She then completed her dental degree in 1991 at the University of Liverpool and received an MSC and diploma in orthodontics in 1997 from the University of Manitoba. She has been in private practice since then and has been a clinical instructor to dental students at the University of Toronto and is now a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Graduate Orthodontic Program at the University of Western Ontario.
